Ukrainian special services are aggressively trying to involve Russian youth in sabotage and terrorist activities. This was announced by the Director of the Federal Security Service, Chairman of the at a meeting of the NAC.
During his speech, Bortnikov noted that in the context of the Russian special operation, " the Ukrainian special services and their Western curators launched aggressive ideological and recruitment processing of our citizens, primarily the younger generation, to involve them in sabotage, terrorist and extremist activities."
"Since February last year, 118 crimes of a terrorist nature have been prevented in Russia, the perpetrators of which were young people and teenagers, including minors," the press service of the NAC reports. They also noted that " the efforts of members of international terrorist organizations to destabilize the situation in the North Caucasus are not weakening."
"Attempts to stage armed attacks on educational institutions by individual students who are influenced by the ideas of Columbine* and other destructive subcultures, such as Maniacs and the Murder Cult,*also pose a serious threat. Some of them are coordinated from the territory of Ukraine, " the report says.
During the meeting, priority areas of activity of federal and regional authorities, as well as anti-terrorist commissions to improve the system of terrorism prevention were identified.
It is noted that "every fact of involvement of young people and adolescents in terrorist activities is subjected to in-depth analysis, followed by the development of preventive measures to eliminate the causes and conditions that contribute to their radicalization." Thus, in order to form an anti-terrorist worldview in higher education institutions and schools, a number of humanitarian disciplines include issues related to the prevention of terrorism.
"At the meeting, it was noted that special attention should be paid to countering the ideology of terrorism and neo-Nazism among young people in the territory of the new subjects of the Russian Federation," the NAC said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a Security Council meeting on April 5 that Western intelligence services are helping Kiev organize terrorist attacks on Russian territory.
"Terrorist attacks are regularly staged against government and law enforcement officials, journalists, public figures, teachers of schools and universities. Moreover, neo-Nazis and their accomplices operate not only on the territory of the new subjects of the Russian Federation, but also commit crimes in other regions. And there is every reason to say that the potential of third countries – Western special services-is involved in the preparation of such sabotage and terrorist attacks, " he said. The Head of State demanded that the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor's Office, the Investigative Committee, other law enforcement agencies and special services "do everything possible to ensure the safe life of the local population, protect people and their safety."
