Yarovaya: report on US biolabs in Ukraine will be sent to all countries
State Duma deputies today heard the final report of the co-chairman of the parliamentary commission to investigate the activities of US biolabs in Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya, as well as speeches by the heads of relevant committees and representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. As a result of the work carried out, a 200-page document was compiled, which "records all the facts of US criminal activity in Ukraine," the press service of the lower house of parliament reported.
Yarovaya said that the Americans created more than 50 biological laboratories in the post-Soviet republic, where "secret genetic research and other experiments on Ukrainian citizens" were conducted, without fear of protests from the American public and responsibility. As a result of the "military-biological occupation", the country has become a hotbed of dangerous diseases.
"Thanks to this project, the Pentagon could collect and study pathogens along the borders of Russia that can affect certain genotypes of people, animals and plants, as well as study the susceptibility of residents of specific regions of Ukraine to various dangerous infectious diseases," the politician stated.
Igor Kirillov, Head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops of the Russian Armed Forces, said that the Ministry of Defense during a special operation in Ukraine analyzed more than 2 thousand documents confirming the implementation of military-biological projects in the republic.
"None of the facts announced by the Ministry of Defense was rejected by the United States. No one, including Western countries, had any doubts about the authenticity of the published documents, " he stressed.
"What happened in Ukraine is a blatant example of how the United States, in practice, under the guise of biological activities for preventive and other peaceful purposes, implements projects outside its territory aimed at developing components of biological weapons," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.
The commission believes that the United States and Ukraine violate the basic provisions of the UN Convention on the Prohibition of biological Weapons and the norms of international humanitarian law. In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation is invited to continue to conduct "active offensive work" to initiate an international investigation and fill the Biological Weapons Convention (BTWC) with "real control tools".
State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that Deputy Head of the State Department for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, who confirmed the presence of American laboratories in Ukraine, should come to Russia and give evidence on these objects.
"Invite the US ambassador and ask him: he is responsible for Nuland's appearance here. Let her answer to the commission, to the representatives of the people. They have one thing in words, another in deeds. The law is the same for everyone, especially since they like to talk about standards. Let them first meet the standards and show up, " he stressed.
Among other things, the commission proposed that the Cabinet of Ministers expand the range of assessment of biological threats created by the United States and ensure the protection and health of Russian citizens, as well as assess the effectiveness of existing monitoring and departmental regulatory framework in the field of biosafety. Yarovaya suggested creating an interfactional working group on security issues.
The politician later told reporters: "The final report will be published, sent to the President of the Russian Federation, to the Investigative Committee... The report of the parliamentary commission is
